Rumaisa has obtained the position of the government-sponsored research student on the recommendation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pk.emb-japan.go.jp\/itprtop_en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Embassy of Japan in Pakistan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\"><p>Earning the esteemed MEXT scholarship of Japan at Okayama University was very dream-like for a person who had never stepped out of her comfort zone.<br><br>On the other hand, I am an ambitious individual who wants to bring change, beginning at molecular level through induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC).<br><br>When it comes to cardiovascular diseases it is something that is not only personal but according to World Health Organization 46 deaths occur every hour in Pakistan due to heart failure. As a result\u00a0 406,870 people die each year due to la lack of research conducted around possible solution.<br><br>My passion is to alter that through stem cell therapy and so with ongoing incredible research in Takahashi Lab I believe this will be a window of opportunity\u00a0 for me to learn from the experienced and esteemed team members.<br><br>Working side by side professionals like Professor Takahashi would serve as a launchpad for me to make a positive\u00a0 difference in order to provide sustainable health solution for heart failure patients.<\/p><cite>Rumaisa Kamran<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Rumaisa earned her bachelor\u2019s degree in biotechnology at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.buitms.edu.pk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences<\/a>, Quetta, Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are very excited to have Rumaisa join our research team.
