Title award ceremony for Research Associate Professor
Okayama University provides support for researchers with outstanding research achievements, promoting research strengths and fostering young researchers. In this context, the university has established a “research associate professor” system, which acts as an incentive system for lecturers and assistant professors. On August 24, a ceremony was held to give the title of research associate professor to the 8 elected lecturers and assistant professors, including Ken Takahashi, who had excellent research achievements.
At the title award ceremony, President Hirofumi Makino handed the certificate in the presence of Director and Vice President Yasutomo Nasu. In the greeting, President Makino encouraged the awardees.
I hope that you will continue to work hard on your research activities and play an active role as a researcher who leads your research field.
President Hirofumi Makino
While keeping an eye on trends such as the “A comprehensive package for strengthening research capabilities and supporting young researchers” formulated by the Japanese government in January this year and the “Next Science and Technology/Innovation Basic Plan”, which is currently being formulated, Okayama University will vigorously promote the training of researchers and the improvement of their research environment.
