How do we fight COVID-19: peer review?

JCM article - Ken Takahashi

A paper on COVID-19, which was peer-reviewed by Takahashi on July 23, was published in the international open access journal Journal of Clinical Medicine.

Moula AI, Micali LR, Matteucci F, Lucà F, Rao CM, Parise O, Parise G, Gulizia MM, Gelsomino S. Quantification of Death Risk in Relation to Sex, Pre-Existing Cardiovascular Diseases and Risk Factors in COVID-19 Patients: Let’s Take Stock and See Where We Are. J Clin Med. 2020 Aug 19;9(9):E2685. doi: 10.3390/jcm9092685.

The study reported that the risk of death from COVID-19 is 16% higher in men than in women, and 1.96-times higher in patients with cardiovascular disease than in healthy individuals.

Seeing the journal Nature and researchers at Wyss Institute of Harvard taking active action against COVID epidemics, I also want to do something.

Ken Takahashi

Takahashi is fighting COVID-19 by being involved in the publication of papers that disseminate knowledge about COVID-19.
