Meet Qiang Li: a member of our team and a recent graduate from the Master’s program at Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences. With a specialization in cardiovascular physiology, Qiang has been an invaluable addition to our team as he has been working on developing an in-vitro lung model using human cell lines. The development of this in-vitro lung model is of great significance in the field of cardiovascular physiology as it could provide a valuable tool for understanding the mechanisms of lung-related cardiovascular diseases such as pulmonary hypertension, heart failure, and more. The 100th Annual Meeting of the Physiological Society of Japan was held at the Kyoto International Conference Center from March 14th to 16th. As a highlight of the conference, there was a dialogue between two Nobel laureates, Dr. Svante Pääbo and Dr. Shinya Yamanaka.
