Takahashi hosted a zoom video conference for research reports, which was originally scheduled as a face-to-face meeting, on February 27 and 28, 2020. Online meetings are an effective option to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection. A research group of “Living in Space” is a section of Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas supported by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan. Ken Takahashi received the Outstanding Research Award at the 2019 International Conference for Leading and Young Medical Scientists (IC-LYMS 2019) in Taipei, Taiwan, which was organized by the Asia Pacific Society for Biology and Medical Sciences. The purpose of the conference was to provide a platform for the exchange and networking between top scientists, emerging young researchers, and students across a wide spectrum of biological and medical sciences. Nineteen presentations and three posters were presented at the conference, which took place four days from 20th to 23rd December 2019.
