Ken Takahashi received the Outstanding Research Award at the 2019 International Conference for Leading and Young Medical Scientists (IC-LYMS 2019) in Taipei, Taiwan, which was organized by the Asia Pacific Society for Biology and Medical Sciences. The purpose of the conference was to provide a platform for the exchange and networking between top scientists, emerging young researchers, and students across a wide spectrum of biological and medical sciences.
Nineteen presentations and three posters were presented at the conference, which took place four days from 20th to 23rd December 2019. Takahashi gave a keynote lecture entitled “Ischemia–reperfusion injury” in this small, but exciting meeting. Experts from various fields, including clinical pediatrics and material engineering, gathered for active exchange and network formation.
